About the Role
As a valued member of our team, you will play a crucial role in transforming bookkeeping into a strategic function for our clients. You will play a vital role in supporting our clients’ financial operations and ensuring accurate and timely reporting. By maintaining detailed financial records and contributing to financial analysis, you’ll have the chance to make a positive and lasting impact on our clients’ success.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable, account reconciliations, and account analysis, while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Handle payroll processing and compliance with T4, T5, HST, EHT, and WSIB reporting to ensure compliance and minimize risks.
- Conduct comprehensive Month-End Reviews and Financial Reporting to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate closely with accountants to prepare year-end files, ensuring a smooth transition and accurate reporting.
- Deliver professional and timely correspondence related to client engagements, maintaining strong relationships and providing exceptional service.
- Work with a diverse clientele, ranging from startups to established businesses, providing variety and opportunities for professional growth.
What You Need to Succeed
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A College-level Accounting or Business Diploma or equivalent experience showcasing your foundation in accounting principles and practices.
- A minimum of 3 years of Canadian full-cycle bookkeeping experience in a fast-paced and client-focused environment.
- Some experience working in an accounting or bookkeeping firm.
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Word, Excel, and G-Suite. A bonus if you know Dext, Hubdoc, and Plooto.
- A strong passion for embracing emerging accounting technology trends and a desire to stay at the forefront of the industry.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver accurate results in a timely manner.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues.
