About the Role

As an accounting manager, you’ll be in charge of turning accounting into a strategic advantage for our clients. You’ll take ownership of financial operations, deliver actionable insights, and ensure accuracy and efficiency across a wide range of services.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

‍

As a valued member of our team, you will play a crucial role in transforming bookkeeping into a strategic function for our clients. Your responsibilities will include:

• Manage and take full responsibility for a portfolio of clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery and high levels of client satisfaction.
• Conduct comprehensive Month-End Reviews and Financial Reporting to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
• Utilize your expertise to integrate third-party applications with QuickBooks Online, driving efficiency and optimizing workflows.
• Support new client onboarding by organizing and cleaning up complex or disorganized financial records.
• Oversee and review the work of accountants and bookkeepers to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of all client-related tasks.
• Contribute to virtual CFO services, including budgeting, cash flow forecasting, KPI reporting, consolidations, and customized management reports tailored to client needs.
• Provide support with bookkeeping, payroll, and sales tax-related tasks as needed.
• Deliver professional and timely correspondence related to client engagements, maintaining strong relationships and providing exceptional service.
• Work with a diverse client base, from startups to established businesses, providing opportunities for professional growth and varied experiences.

What You Need to Succeed:

‍

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A College-level Accounting or Business Diploma or equivalent experience showcasing your foundation in accounting principles and practices.
• At least 5 years of Canadian full-cycle bookkeeping experience in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
• Previous experience in an accounting or bookkeeping firm showcasing your ability to excel in a professional services setting.
• Proven experience managing and leading a team.
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Word, Excel, and G-Suite. A bonus if you know Dext, Hubdoc, and Plooto.
• A strong passion for embracing emerging accounting technology trends and a desire to stay at the forefront of the industry.
• A customer-focused mindset with experience delivering exceptional service in client-facing roles.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver accurate results in a timely manner.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues.
